Salam & greetings to all readers & friends.This is my previous guitar.An Orville’s Les Paul Custom.A Japan made beauty.I got her 1 and a half year ago.Cost me RM2000.00 which is like USD 600.00.This guitar was worn out, with minor dings here & there, loose strap bolt/screw.Modded with EMG 81/85 pickups, Genuine Gibson’s pickguard, Planet Waves machine head & bridge, this guitar screams like a demon.Been gigged a few times, and she travels in a hardcase depending on situations.(Sometimes, a softcase might be helpful)A very suitable substitutes to any guitars made by Gibson or Epiphone.To be honest, Gibson don’t produce any good guitars nowadays.Too expensive…I wonder why did they priced a Les Paul Custom for USD7000.Instead of buying an overrated guitars, buy a cheap guitar and upgrade them.China & Korea made well constructed guitars nowadays…but you might want to change the tuning machine and the electronic parts.I got to go.See you guys later.Take care.

About the guitar, I was a fan at first glance. Really, it looks awesome. But after reading your post, the fixation kinda went away. Are you selling this guitar? Or are yo keeping all the memories with you? The good thing is, it can still work as a good decor for your room, if it’s really not working as you expected

I can testify coz I have one, thou I also have a real Gibson LP.
After such experiments of switching the Gibson pick ups (490R/498T) from Gibson body to Orville body, I was surprised that the sound resonance of the WOOD came out more from ORVILLE-Japan rather than with Gibson-USA. Orville-Japan is Gibson-USA with better wood tone,construction,slimmer neck design intended for japanese hand size.
Except that,all Orvilles are having cheap hardwares & pick ups.So do spend on hardwares/pick ups like Orig.Gibson has & hear the result. I swear you’l never regret.
Never mind the dings,scratches,logo,whatever. Just do care about the Les Paul TONE.
